Bed bugs are small, brown-red parasitic insect. The name “bed bug“ comes from the insect’s preferred habitat of people’s beds. Bed bugs are mainly active at night, although not nocturnal, and are capable of feeding unnoticed on their hosts. Bed bugs have been feeding on human blood for more than 3,300 years and can be found every place people tend to gather. This includes homes, hotels, theaters, schools, retail stores, buses, etc.
Bed bugs are “hitch hikers”. They hitch a ride on luggage, clothing, purses, and anything else they can attach themselves to.
Several health concerns may occur due to bed bugs. This includes skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms. Bed bugs usually bite people at night while they are sleeping. Engorgement takes about 3-10 minutes, yet the people seldom know they are even being bitten. Immediately after feeding, they crawl off and hide elsewhere to digest their meal. Symptoms after being bitten vary from person to person. Many people develop an itchy red welt or swelling within a day or so of the bite. Others have little or no reaction, and in some people the reaction is delayed.
Unlike fleas that mainly bite around the ankles, bed bugs feed on any and all exposed skin while you are sleeping; your face, neck, shoulders, back, arms and legs are at risk!

Aersosol formulations will be used in cracks and crevices, the under sides of drawers, drawer slides, nail holes, chipped paint, carpet tack strips, and in the wood framing of the box springs.
Insecticidal dust will be used to treat wall voids and electrical outlets.
This type of treatment requires a minimum of one follow-up treatment 7-10 days later to break up egg cycles. In heavy infestations, a third treatment may be necessary.
